On the hunt for some great photos!

It's being classified as the most adventurous night in College and Careers history. When 15 young adults made their way to First Baptist Church on Wednesday night they thought they were in for a quiet evening of fellowship.

They couldn't have been more wrong.

Soon we were launched into something bigger than all of us. Opposition was strong as Adam's keys were stolen and then locked in his car, slowing down him and his team to the task at hand. Danger was in the air as Kristen and Mary found two Japanese warriors sneaking into they Kelly's backyard. What the warriors were looking for, we don't know. What we can say is that all of the ninja training that Kelly and McNulty learned during Sunday school came in very handy.

And while the guys were using their strength to pry open a car door and Mary and Kristen were in fighting to save a Melrose neighbourhood from the forces of evil, Valerie's heroic jump into Gilles lake to save a duck nearly turned tragic. Thankfully Beth always comes prepared and as Hannah performed CPR, Beth established a sterile environment by making sure all present were using gloves and masks. Alysia, the on-site nurse who moonlights as a photographer insisted that proper procedure was followed and credited Hannah and Beth's fast-thinking with saving Val's life. What Alysia was doing taking pictures while her friend was in trouble, we have no idea...

Once the keys were retrieved, Val was revived, and the warriors were defeated, the teams felt an overwhelming need to praise God for His protection throughout the night. Spontaneous church services were started all over town and before we could argue the theological merits, Andrew, Valerie, and Kristen were filled with the Spirit and begin preachin' the Word to whoever would listen. It was the book of Acts all over again...

After all the soul-saving was done, the teams took the new believers to the location of a Christian radio station and explained to them the important role that Christian music has in one's spiritual growth. One team, lead by Alice, even went so far as to show the proper technique of how to head-bang to Rebecca St. James. As they held hands on the side walk singing "Wait for Me" while praying that their future spouses would walk by, someone realized the time and off to the church they ran.

Back at the church as the teams rolled in, so did the stories of God's faithfulness in what was a potentially dangerous evening. While consuming frozen yogurt (that was really frozen) the teams shared stories and photos from their adventures.
