Thank you Armor All for organizing National Car Wash Day! Armor All provided us with ALL the supplies we needed to run a fundraising car wash! The day was beautiful amd we ended up washing nearly 30 vehicles at McGinn's Shell in South Porcupine. People were very generous in their donations as we raised $234.28 for College & Careers! Proceeds will go towards outreach activities at Northern College in the Fall... Again, thank you Armor All and The Clorox Company of Canada for allowing us to do this! With that aside... here is where our story begins... "Free car wash... with a donation!" proclaimed Mary jokingly as she coloured our poster with Rachell and Steph just moments before the start of our fundraising car wash. "You know what guys?! I have an idea... let's wash my car first... just to test it out" said Steph very confidently. "Well... only if you give a donation" hollered Darin from across the parking lot, who knew it wouldn't be him washing the vehicle. Steph smiled, and put a chap stick in the donation bucket! "You never know when you'll need it!" she said, snickering! With that cheap donation, Steph received a "cheap" car wash... but she didn't walk away empty-handed... I saw her "testing out" an Armor All Protectant wipe on her dash!

Okay, okay... maybe that's not EXACTLY what happened... but yeah, something like that! haha Thanks goes to the 14 willing volunteers from the College & Careers group who worked together to clean nearly 30 vehicles. It was a really fun time and God provided us with an amazing day! Also, thanks goes to Emily for opening her house for lunch afterwards!

My highlight of the day was "working the street" with Ashley, trying to get people to come to our car wash. Usually people act like fools when their faces are covered... but not me and Ashley. We got a lot of smiles and waves, and even blowing of horns from big rigs... eventually we got a few customers, but hey, if we made someone's day by giving them a big smile, well our mission was completed! haha
